I know it's a chain and chain restaurants are often hard to give any kind of excellent review. However, I have to say that my avocado salad was so good that my friend decided to get one as well when it came to the table. On top of that I don't usually eat bread that comes to the table but the bread was so warm, so crispy and so yummy that I couldn't resist and had to dunk a couple pieces in extra virgin olive oil and devour them. I have been to this chain in various places from NY to FL and have always had good meals from the soups to the veggie burgers and beyond. It's simply one of the better large chain restaurants in my opinion.

Love the place. Wish they had the brunch on more days than just Saturday and Sunday. Chicken and waffles are awesome, I always meet some interesting people here at the bar too.

Happy Hour review only. Naturally bar area was slammed on a Friday night but lucky enough to get a small booth. Server had not worked the HH very often so was not real familiar with HH choices. Must say he was friendly and was able to go to someone to answer our questions. We tried 5 different apps and all were delicious. Well worth the $5 each charge. Can't say the same about the drinks. Seemed watered down. Took a peek at the main dining area. Loud and cavernous.

I was working in Boca today so I decided to eat at the Grand Lux cafe in Boca town center with my friend we were greeted once we walked in by a friendly waitress the place was not that crowded like the one in Aventura because the one in Aventura is always crowded we were seated right away and had a friendly and attentive waitress she would always check if everything was great with our food and drinks and would always be friendly I would come back to this location hungry for more

Grand Lux is an upgraded version of their sister restaurant, Cheesecake Factory. With that being said, expect to find plenty of similarities between the two. I enjoy this restaurant and find it to be one of the better chain restaurants out there. The dining room is huge, with an equally huge menu. Many of the dishes are knock offs of CF but even better. I find the service to be typical of most chains, pleasant enough but not extraordinary. The food is good, in fact many of the dishes are very good. I love the Asian Chicken Salad ($14.95). This salad is enough for two people easily. Crispy wontons, cabbage, chicken, edamame, rice noodles and sugar snap peas are just some of the ingredients. Lunch portions are available but those are huge too. I'm not complaining because I always have leftovers to eat the next day. The burgers are great, albeit just a little salty. The chicken sandwiches are nicely done as well. You have a choice between a small salad or fries as your side. I usually get the salad which has always been very fresh. The happy hour specials just can't be beat. The last time I was there for happy hour I ordered the Passion Fruit Margarita ($5.50). It was definitely delicious. They have a large selection of apps and well drinks for just $5-$5.50. The apps are full size which translates to gigantic. I encourage sharing. I recommend trying the Asian Nachos ($5.50) during happy hour (Mon-Fri 4 to 6:30) but they are also on the regular menu as well. First off, the portion is as big as my head and secondly they are so very good. The crisp and crunchy wontons are topped with chicken, wasabi cream, cabbage and a sweet/hot sauce that is amazing enough for me to still be thinking about it. A scoop of tasty fried rice rounds out this plate. The menu has something for everyone, even the pickiest eater will find something to order. Bring the kids, they have a children's menu too. The place is noisy, so for that reason I wouldn't want to come here for a date night. Not a first date anyway. Grand Lux is a good restaurant but not romantic in any way. I recommend trying Grand Lux if you have a chance. I have always enjoyed myself here and I hope you do too.

Grand Lux has a great happy hour with ice cold beer and several drink specials. The one I went to is in the Boca Town Center Mall. It's a terrific place to relax, have a tasty meal and a drink. The decor is really impressive. Grand Lux is very clean. The service could have been better. The waitress sort of disappeared for most of my visit. I ended up finding myself a fork, etc. but the food was quite good. I'd give it another try. I had a good time over all. The staff was very nice but not exactly competent.

First off I love The Cheesecake Factory, if you don't, I don't recommend it- they're sister companies. I came here for lunch while at the mall, sat in a booth at the bar. Our waitress was super upbeat and told us their specials. A large menu awaited us so we dug in. Many dishes resemble those at TCF, but why not? After all they are right across the parking lot from each other! My meal was good and we would have got desert but we were to full! The main difference at Luxe is that they have made to order desserts, they take about 20 min so order before you get your meal, they look DELICIOUS !

I've had a really good experience every time I've been here. Our waiter was very friend and the food was fantastic. I love that they have such a huge selection of salads and dressings. On my most recent visit I came for a celebration and was pleasantly surprised at the wait time. The hostess wanted to wait to seat us until everyone came but since we were there for a celebration I told her that our final attendee is bringing a surprise cake and she was very understanding and seated us as soon as the table was put together. Last week our group had a birthday and we decided to go to the Cheesecake Factory on a Saturday evening.... big mistake. We waited an hour for a table. Coming early on a Sunday is definitely the way to go.

I enjoy the happy hour here. It's a pretty good deal. I had lunch there today and it was average. I think the prices on their lunch specials are kind of high for the choices. I had the "Italian" vegetable soup - which I guess they call it that because there were a couple of spiral noodles in it? With a house greens salad that had a few sweet yellow & red tomatoes on top. For $8.95 it kinda tasted like I should've packed my lunch & brought it to work for much less and tasted better. Many options on menu - so maybe I could've picked a better option. I've liked the avocado salad for happy hour. It's just fine if you're at the mall and want to eat at a chain. The name is a little lofty lol

This is the step-sister of Cheesecake Factory and a watered down version. It is even owned by the same people who own Cheesecake Factory, but it is less is most ways. Mainly, the menu is much smaller, and the food isn't always up to snuff at Grand Lux. I'd stick with the appetizers here. Specifically the Double Stuffed Potato Spring Rolls, Buffalo Chicken Rolls, and the Asian Nachos are delicious, unique, and stand out amongst the rest of the menu. Some of their pastas and chickens can also be tasty, such as the Chicken Madeira, which come in huge portions. Some other items like the pizzas and some of the sandwiches, especially the Grilled Steak Sandwich, I've had really don't measure up to a high standard. The reality is, the food for the most part is just okay considering by looking at the place it just doesn't measure up. The atmosphere at Grand Lux is similar to that of Cheesecake Factory, although it has much more of an complex design on the outside of the building. The inside and outside are both very opulent. Service here is usually good, but nothing that blows anyone away. Price-wise, it is more on the expensive side, but at the same time it doesn't break the bank. For the portion sizes, it just might be worth it. Just because of all the other restaurants in the immediate area (including a Cheesecake right next door) I'd probably go somewhere else, however I'm not opposed to coming back to Grand Lux for a select few menu items. Grand Lux Cafe could upgrade a star if it had an x-fator it currently lacks. Food (B), Pricing (C-), Atmosphere (A-), Service (B)

Ok... So... This is basically a Cheesecake Factory. The color scheme, menu options, mediocre service, layout of the floor and even the feel of the interior design all closely, almost eerily, resemble CF. So... Obviously I'm indifferent. The food was good and well presented. The portions were appropriate, maybe even a little generous. So the value and quality of the food was decent. The server was smug and a little unhelpful even. I can't judge the whole service team on one person, but employing a person that so clearly shouldn't be in the customer service industry does display the establishments priorities. I'm pretty sure I didn't see any of the several ant-farm style servers even do so much as attempt a smile. Firmly disappointing is my stance for this place in the customer service arena. Not a bad experience, but not good enough to warrant a return trip.

Never had something I did not like on the menu. Nice atmosphere, pleasant waiters, from burgers to pastas, appetizers, salmon, etc all good. Crispy fresh bread brought to the table. Similar to cheesecake factory but better. Interior very festive, check on line pictures. One downside drinks are pricey, even a glass of basic house wine is $ 8.50 a glass.

3.5 I went here a couple days ago and was very happy with our service. Our server was friendly and attentive. I'm rating four stars based upon the cocktails. They were mediocre and we tried different ones, other than that the food was very good. We started with the volcano shrimp which was delicious. For an entree I had the lunch salmon which comes with your choice of white or brown rice. I was very pleased with mine and it was a nice sized portion. My boyfriend had the turkey and Brie sandwich on focaccia bread. It was very good also and came with your choice of salad or fries. He chose the fries and they were SO good... When are fries not? Lol Overall the experience was pleasurable and I was glad we chose to go here over Cheesecake Factory.

The place is huge. Way too big for my likes and when it gets packed with all those shoppers and their unsupervised spoiled brat children running about has the ambience of grade school cafeteria. However, their menu is complete, their food rather good and given the circumstances under which the wait staff are working, my hat's off to them. They're doing a pretty darn good job of it too. You can tell that they are all well trained, true professionals at doing what they do and I really have to give them credit for that. As for their offerings I had a glass of wine which I was able to choose from a large well thought out selection of wines and my food, a seared ahi tuna, from a large well considered menu that covered everything from breakfast to late night snakes. The tuna I had was served nori wrapped, eye appealing and every bit being of a quality I might expect to receive in any sushi restaurant along with a three salad accompaniment plus a sake wasabi dip. The nori wrapped tuna fresh, the accompanying salads perfectly in balance and taste enhancing to the overall dish; everything nicely prepared. I'd probably rate the place higher than the three stars I'm giving it, but if you eat here and end up having to put up with the children of the spoiled brat consumer oriented kids of the Boca trophy housewives like I have, you'll understand.

'Ello Chaps! Randomly checked out Grand Lux Cafe -- and I'll just say if I may -- I'm glad we did. If you're just walking in I know what you're thinking. Whew. Did I walk into the Cheesecake Factory? No, that's across the parking lot. ok, ok, you may ask 'did I walk on board a cruise ship? Nope, that's a few miles down to the shore. The decour is grand for sure, as the name says. The restaurant is tall and in your face. We were quickly seated and handed the latest edition of the IKEA catalog, er uh restaurant menu. It's wide and has more options than my cable company's help center phone options. But don't see that as daunting, but rather as a good thing. Every family or group has those picky eater. This menu has it all. Literally. From Filet Mignon Beef Wellington to classic burgers to seafood fare, fish and chips, to chicken pot pie, steaks, my oh my. There's a lot. As a quick fix we started with the pot roast french fries. Boy, are they delicious. Slowly cooked (perfectly too if I may add) pot roast, poured with gravy on top of an order of crispy fries. Do give them a try. I don't mean to rhyme. Lemon chicken and pasta is also quite delicious. There are plenty of starters and apps to choose from and main entrees -- everything we ordered had lots of flavor and was perfectly cooked. You'll also get bread to munch on as you wait. Warm with a crispy outter crust and fluffy inside. As Yelp would say, I'm a fan! Cheers! Herb

Had the breaded chicken, aka shnitzel, was great, my friend had the Burger, she gave it 4 stars, my friend's husband had veggies with white rice, not bad he said.... after all it's rice with veggies. Overall a great experience will return!

I happen to love this chain restaurant. I've never had a bad meal here - and once when I did, they took it off the bill and made a new one for me - TO GO! The service here is great as well. A few things I've had here that I really enjoy - eggplant fritters (appetizer), short rib grilled cheese (gluttonous), potato pierogies (really yes, they're great). Their drinks are just ok - they're a chain so the alcohol is not a heavy pour so I typically get wine here. We've had the chocolate lava cake for dessert which is also delish. The last time I was there, I ordered chicken which was terribly over cooked. I asked the server to just take it back and bring me a soup (butternut squash soup which was amazing). The manager came over and told me they were making another chicken. I told him it was fine, I was full after the soup. He insisted that I take it to go and even took it off our bill. Service like this will keep me coming back.

If the Cheesecake Factory had a younger sister that looked up to her older sister this would be it. Everything including the layout & Togo bag design emulates The Cheesecake Factory. We ordered: crispy fish tacos- 5 stars. Accompanied with salsa & was bursting with flavor. fish & chips- 4.5 stars. Crispy batter with well seasoned fish. The chips had just the right amount of salt. Scrumptious. volcano shrimp- eh. Maybe like 2.5 stars. I thought these were ok. Weird aftertaste. The sauce they came with was good though. (I'm a pescatarian, but really considering eliminating shrimp from my diet for other personal reasons. The volcano shrimp kinda helped further persuade this decision). Service wasn't the best, but wasn't the worst. Because of this I usually sit at the bar whenever I dine out. Bartenders are usually the friendliest. I will have to update this review once I experience HH one if these days.

This restaurant is very similar to Cheesecake Factory as it is a sister store. The portions are large and the selection of food is pan-asian and American. It's good for large groups because there's something for everyone, prices are average $13-$25. I love the small plate appetizers here. The duck triangles are my favorite. Crisp outer shell with a well marinated duck meat venter and a dumpling sauce for dipping. The turkey and brie on a baguette was good but the bread was a bit hard. It came out a little cold too so the bread must've sat a bit after it was toasted. My mom had the miso glazed salmon which was a tad over cooked so it was dry. The seasoning was good though. The server was great at the beginning but then as more people were sat around us, he disappeared. We had to wait a long time to get a box and our check.

I thought I walked into a Cheesecake Factory when I walked in. Come to find out it is owned by the same company. Food was good. Lots of different options. I had the chicken Lettuce wraps. Nothing spectacular. Drinks are very expensive! I had the Moscow mule which cost more than my meal! Loaded with ice so I probably got 2-3 oz of drink. There is a happy hour from 4-6pm. I would try to come to that to save money.

I came during brunch time, ready to enjoy a great meal. My guest and I were seated fairly quickly (we beat the church crowd). However once seated our waiter seemed to be in a hurry to do everything but provide us customer service. Once our food was delivered my guest breakfast order was not correct so I had to begin without her otherwise my eggs would have been cold. I ordered over medium eggs with Apple wood bacon and rice. I guess I should have mentioned to hold the eggshells. Yuck. . We never were brought more water or asked if we needed anything. I had to flag down the bus boy to bring additional condiments. Such a gross experience. I'll stick with what I know next time. Eat at home. I did call and speak with a manager who reimbursed my meal. Thank you but I won't be coming back anytime soon.
